Himalaya - EverFlow India Opportunities
What this strategy is
We have a fundamental research led, bottom-up approach to investing. The heart of our strategy is to buy companies that are compounding rapidly and selling at a significant discount to underlying business value. Our edge primarily comes from variant perception on smaller, undiscovered companies i.e. parts of the market that larger funds may not be focussed on and from our long-term orientation i.e. willingness to look beyond the volatility of the next few quarters and focus on what the years ahead hold for the business. While we are biased towards smaller companies, we believe attractive investment opportunities come unannounced from various directions and don't impose artificial constraints on sector, size, ownership, which affects our ability to generate attractive returns for our investor partners while keeping underlying risks in control. The above approach typically results in a concentrated portfolio of between ~12-20 investments across sectors and market-cap sizes positioned to generate strong absolute & relative return over the long-term.

The quality of those returns
Returns mean little without the ride that earned them.
In its worst stretch the strategy fell −18.72% peak-to-trough. A Sharpe of 0.80 means it earned a modest return for each unit of risk taken. Size the position so a drawdown of that order is one you can sit through.

Who runs the money
A strategy is only as good as the hand on the wheel.
Himalaya's Multi Cap approach blends valuation discipline with growth conviction, tilting toward whichever side the cycle is paying for. It is benchmarked to the S&P BSE 500 Total Return Index but invests with conviction rather than hugging the index.
A focused book of roughly 22 holdings means the highest-conviction ideas actually move the portfolio.
A 3-year track record across rallies and drawdowns — positioning shifts with the cycle rather than chasing the last quarter.
Drawdowns are managed deliberately; the worst peak-to-trough on record is about −18.72%.
A dependable multi cap strategy that scores well across our pillars.
Nyra scores Himalaya - EverFlow India Opportunities 8.0/10, on a since-inception CAGR near 20.6%. Its sharpest fall on record is about −18.72% — size the position so that ride is one you can hold.
Investors with a 5-year-plus horizon who want active Multi Cap exposure and can sit through equity drawdowns.
A −18.72% drawdown would test your nerve, or you need ₹50 L+ to commit at the SEBI minimum.
A steadier core (large-cap or hybrid) so this can play the higher-conviction satellite in your overall allocation.

“I held two PMS for four years and couldn't tell you why. One 15-minute review showed me the overlap, the real post-tax number, and one fund worth replacing. Nobody had ever shown me that math.”
